Real life chimeras
The excellent Ed Yong of Not Exactly Rocket Science has a post today on chimeras. Not the lion-goat-snake variety of myth, but real life chimeras.
“Real chimeras merely have two or more groups of cells with distinct sets of genes. You get two individuals for the price of one,” Yong explains.
